Sending Love to the Less Fortunate

Valentine’s Day is a day for love in all forms, and this year, did something a little special. Instead of focusing on one individual, we focused on many people—specifically, the homeless population in Los Angeles.

PATH LogoLast week our entire staff stopped what they were doing and worked to assemble dozens of hygiene kits for People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), a wonderful charitable organization with headquarters right here in L.A. Our CEO Dan has had a close relationship with this group for a long time, and we thought we’d help him out this holiday by taking up what he believes is our most important social cause.

PATH is a great non-profit organization that focuses on housing for the homeless. Once a person has somewhere to live, according to their website, it’s easier to find a job, improve health and get back on track. Addressing chronic homelessness is not a one-time fix, and it’s definitely not an easy job, and our company is incredibly proud to help PATH help others in such a meaningful way.

The kits we put together at our office included some necessities most of us tend to take for granted, like soap, lip balm, floss, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and even socks. We also gave out some blankets and hats.
It’s not the same as romance, but we definitely felt a whole lot of love for Valentine’s Day. It brought us all a lot of joy to give back to our community through such a marvelous organization as PATH.
